Algebra I and Foundations of Algebra

We are in Full Swing

In case of School Closures due to the pandemic, we WILL have class each day online. Your child has been sent an email with a link to join each day. The link will also be  located in Schoology. Check the documents located on this page for further information. Schoology will ALWAYS have the most up-to-date information.

FYI: You have never had so much fun learning math than you will this year! Bring your tissue because we are going to laugh until we cry!!!!!

EVERYTHING we do in class is also in Schoology in case you miss or want to review. Parents, use your child's account to keep up with class. Students are expected to watch the lesson video and complete the notes prior to returning to school. This will ensure the student does not fall behind.

***Yes, we will be using school laptops daily.   virtual graduation

Three children (17, 12, 11), two dogs, two cats, two reptiles!!! I am an animal lover...obviously. My dog, Bonquiqui, is my baby and I love her just as much as I love my kids...maybe a tad more. ;)

I have taught Algebra I and II as well as Geometry and MS Studies over my career at Amory Hight School and New Hope Middle School. Getting to talk to students is the best part of teaching. I enjoy getting to know someone new and learn so much more from them than they do me. I use math to teach life skill, especially perseverance. My number one support is Jesus who is with me everyday, leading me, guiding me, to help those I can and giving me the joy and strength to thrive in order to make my students' lives meaningful by showing a little kindness each day.  I am not your "normal" teacher because in my mind, I am still a kid. Joking, laughing, cutting up is just about my favorite part of my job but don't get me won't, I expect a lot from my students and they know that work and play are simultaneous. "Kids can't learn from teachers they don't like". Rita Pierson
