Welcome to Lewisburg High School! We'd like to explore some of the exciting aspects of Lewisburg High that make it one of the most outstanding schools in the state. From academics to athletics, we're sure that you will find plenty of groups and activities to be a part of.

Academics:

Every year since its inception in 2006, Lewisburg has been given the state’s highest accreditation rating, and 7 times Lewisburg High School has been ranked as the top high school in the state of Mississippi based on school accountability scores released by the MS Department of Education. And, Lewisburg is one of only a few schools to produce multiple National Merit Scholarship Finalists each year. This year, 2023-2024, Lewisburg was ranked #1 school in Desoto County and a top 10 school in the state of MS. 

Our advanced placement, dual credit, and career technical courses ensure that all students are college or career ready upon graduation.

Athletics:

From the field to the court, to the water, The Burg Sports is competitive in 19 sports throughout the school year. Recently, Lewisburg has won Mississippi High School State Championships in volleyball, baseball, and bowling, as well as individual state championships in track, powerlifting, and swimming. Our coaches are dedicated to developing character, pride, and teamwork, while helping athletes perform at their very best. Anyone with a competitive spirit is encouraged to get involved in Patriot Athletics. Last school year (2023-2024) our Lady Patriots volleyball team won the Mississippi 7A Championship.  The LHS girl's golf team placed 3rd in the 7A State Championships and the boy's golf team placed 5th. The LHS swimming team had multiple podium finishes in the state championship, and our football team made the playoffs for the second year in a row.  

Activities:

Students at LHS also have the opportunity to join some of our many student clubs. Members of our academic teams such as Knowledge Bowl and Mu Alpha Theta have the chance to show off their knowledge in regional academic competitions. Service organizations, such as the Interact Club and National Honor Society, encourage students to give back to the school and community through volunteer projects. You’re invited to contact our club sponsors who can help you find a club that meets your interests.

Fine Arts:

The Lewisburg Fine Arts Department provides a pathway for students to expand their artistic creativity through band, chorus, drama, and the visual arts. The Lewisburg marching band has won multiple State Championships. Lewisburg Choir members are consistently selected for all-state and honor choirs. Our visual arts department claims awards in a number of local, regional, and national art competitions each year. Contact a fine arts teacher to learn more about our band, choir, art, and theater programs. Our LHS band most recently placed 7th in the Mississippi 7A State championship.
