Personal Information

Hi, everyone! My name is Jacki Barnett, and this is my tenth year of teaching at Lewisburg High School and my seventeenth year of teaching high school English in Desoto County. Every year, I enjoy getting to meet new students and my ultimate goals for students is that they fall in love with reading. Teaching high school English has been a calling for me, and it is something I knew I wanted to do since I was a high school junior.

On a more personal note, my husband, Justin, and I have been married for twelve years. He's pretty much my mirror opposite (he’s introverted, a water sign, mathematically minded, and disliker of coffee/caramel combinations), and my favorite person in the world. We have two young daughters (9 and 6) that keep us humble and busy.

During my down-time, I love to drink coffee, read anything in Kindle Unlimited, make polymer clay earrings, quilt, and discuss anything from Star Wars to current events.

I look forward to getting to know all of you personally, and I do hope that if you have any concerns, you will contact me, via the link at the top.
